BUSINESS CHALLENGE

Establish a clear reconciliation baseline

Mixed goods, quantity differences and unclear carton-item relationships add work at receiving. Confirm what is packed, how many items there are and which carton they belong to during packing.

WORKFLOW

From task to a traceable record

  1. 01

    Prepare the packing task

Import or prepare planned products and quantities. Establish carton IDs, packing rules and exception-handling criteria.

  2. 02

    Capture and reconcile

Read item identifiers during packing. Check SKUs and quantities, including duplicate, unknown or unplanned tags.

  3. 03

    Review and seal

Resolve differences and confirm the final contents. Perform a pre-sealing check where required.

  4. 04

    Create carton-item records

Save the relationship between carton IDs, individual item identifiers and product quantities, and share it in the agreed format.

DELIVERABLES

Potential operational outputs

  • Carton-item association records
  • Packed-product quantity summary
  • Packing variance and resolution records

Labels and printers are part of the workflow too

Start with product labels and encoding rules so captured data can be matched to real goods.
