BUSINESS CHALLENGE

Establish a clear reconciliation baseline

Inventory relies on a shared scope and time baseline. Compare captured stock with recorded inventory on the same basis so differences can be explained and rechecked.

WORKFLOW

From task to a traceable record

  1. 01

    Establish the inventory baseline

Confirm the warehouse, areas, count time and inventory data. Agree how receipts and shipments will be handled during the count.

  2. 02

    Capture by area and deduplicate

Follow an on-site capture route, collect item identifiers, and identify duplicates and unknown tags.

  3. 03

    Reconcile quantities by SKU

Group identified tags by SKU and compare with the stock snapshot to calculate quantity differences.

  4. 04

    Recount and confirm the report

Recheck areas with discrepancies and unknown tags. Keep a recount record and produce the inventory result.

DELIVERABLES

Potential operational outputs

  • Individual tag capture records
  • SKU quantity variance report
  • Unknown-tag and recount records

Labels and printers are part of the workflow too

Start with product labels and encoding rules so captured data can be matched to real goods.
